Married to Giants hires woodworker and business school graduate to help them keep up with the changing landscape of the advertising industry. Of course they’re also award winning editors with eighteen years combined experience. Ryan Hunt and Raj Ramnauth are both thrilled to join forces with one of Canada’s premiere post production houses, Married to Giants.
Ryan Hunt has a natural ability to enhance his work during the post production process, effectively reaching audiences with meaningful storytelling and powerful montages. His ability to engage the viewer is undeniable, exemplified in his work for Special K “Own It.” This spot received almost 6 million views on YouTube, helping spread an empowering message to women around the world. Ryan strongly believes “when I’m working through my edits, I pour everything I have into every cut, and I really want the audience to feel what I feel when I’m creating the story”. Luckily, Ryan applies his creative eye to more than just harvest tables.
Raj Ramnauth likes to move people. He explains, “Whether it’s making them laugh out loud or making them ugly cry, having people connect with my work is what drives me.” From commercials to documentaries Raj is in love with the collaborative process of storytelling. Raj’s career highlights include cutting Emmy nominated documentary, ‘Never Say Die - The Jason Day Story’ and collaborating on creative work that has been recognised at The Cannes Lions Festival, Clios, LIA, ADCC and Marketing Awards. Fortunately for the advertising community, Raj walked away from a real estate investment trust gig, trading in the suit and tie for a beard and jeans, proving that following your passion is always the right choice.
Ben Valiquette, President of Married to Giants, is committed to helping clients achieve their marketing goals by harnessing the best talent. "Beyond the art and craft of editorial storytelling, I also want Married to Giants to be a warm and welcoming environment, and am thrilled to add Ryan and Raj to the team.” Valiquette’s goal has undoubtedly been met, judging by the numerous awards and smiling faces you’ll find in their downtown Toronto space.
