After decades spent closed, Italy’s historic structures rise up and get loud to tell their story to all Italians before it gets lost in time. To do so, they use the only instrument available – their own intercoms- and turn it into a new communication media.
That’s how 'Open Doorbells' was born, launched by McCann Milan. It’s an instant operation using home intercoms for the very first time to intercept passersby and trigger their curiosity about what’s hiding behind the doors they ignore every day.
The idea comes from McCann Worldgroup Milan, and was developed jointly with audio production house Eccetera and local fablab Opendot for the FAI (Italian National Trust).
