There are drinks manufactured for all manner of activities and purposes. Sports, energy, relaxation, to fight the flu - there's a beverage out there to aid all of them.
But, until now, there was no drink made to help flyers fight the side-effects of long haul plane travel. FlyWater, the first functional drink designed to mitigate the effects of flying in our body, is now available for sale. It comes in three versions and flavors with different functionalities: antioxidant, relaxing and immune strengthening.
With an initial production of 71,000 oz in 8 oz cans, FlyWater can be purchased online at
www.drinkflywater.com in packs of 24 and priced at $2USD per can. The product, approved by the FDA, will also be sold in airports and on-board some flight services.
FlyWater was developed and manufactured by Luz&Fuerza Co., an innovation agency from Argentina, in partnership with Grey and Landor Mexico.
The starting point for the development of FlyWater was a study carried out by the Aero Medical Association, in which the most common affectations among travelers were analysed: dizziness, nausea, dehydration, swollen feet, lack of oxygen, skin irritation and eyes.
These conditions are due to different causes such as pressure changes, lack of movement, recirculation of air in the cabin and low humidity, among others.
The three different versions of FlyWater are:
FlyWater Immune booster
With a functional mix of ginger, Wellmune® and Echinacea extracts that helps improve the immune system.
FlyWater Body Balance
With an antioxidant effect, its formula has acai extract, vitamin C and vitamin E and green tea polyphenols, which helps to balance the cardiovascular system and have benefits against diseases such as osteoporosis and insulin resistance.
FlyWater Just Relax
With Green Tea and Lemon extract, it has a mix of herbal valerian compounds and L-Teanina for a calming effect.
