Deadbeat’s Genre Bashing Short Film Hits Vimeo on Demand

After a brilliant festival run, including winning the prestigious ‘Best Sci Fi’ at The South African Film Festival, Deadbeat’s genre-bashing short film YOSHI has been finally released on Vimeo On Demand. 

The film, which premiered in London as part of Deadbeat’s latest immersive collaboration with industry disruptors Minute Shorts, is now available to online audiences. 

Boris Thomson-Roylance (who directed under alias Boris Novak) described making the film as “an amazing break from my usual focus on socially conscious documentaries and commercials.”

“Yoshi is definitely the black sheep in my portfolio of work but it was so much fun trying to cram as many genres into eight short minutes!”
