Toma Productions has officially merged with Deadbeat Films, with Sundance winning producer Anthony Toma stepping into the role of head of production and company director at Deadbeat.

Toma contributes a wealthy portfolio of commercials and music videos, as well as Sundance & BIFA Award winning short films. He has also brought in welcome capital to grow the team and expand the long form arm of the company.

Anthony’s professionalism and expertise marks bold new horizons for the company, alongside co-founders Boris and Jack Thompson-Roylance, they confidently have all the tools and ability to develop their vision further than ever before.

Co-founder Boris wrote: “We’ve been working with Anthony for over 5 years now, so this alliance felt really solid, comfortable and the obvious next step for Deadbeat’s future. A lot of this industry is built on trust, and although Anthony could be mistaken for a hard boiled Producer, he’s generally one of the nicest guys on the planet, who really cares about making films and loves the craft. Welcome to the family Anthony!”

It’s been an exciting couple of years of expansion for Deadbeat. With their expanded team creating multiple TVC’s and campaigns for brands such as Vinted, TCL and ASUS, as well as for the pioneering electric aviation company, Vertical Aerospace.

In early 2022 they officially launched their music video department with a talented roster of directors, but there has been huge growth elsewhere as well. Deadbeat Studios, the home of the company's long-form projects, are wrapping up post production on their debut feature film, the mockumentary, ‘Swede Caroline’, starring Jo Hartley and Aisling Bea.

With growth across all departments and an exciting new merger, Deadbeat are certainly a fast rising production company and one to watch out for.
