As the National Football League (NFL) embarked on an exciting new season, digital creative agency Wildlife has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to introduce an engaging and informative web game that promises to revolutionize the way football enthusiasts understand NFL strategy. Developed in partnership with AWS Next Gen Stats, the cutting-edge mobile game is designed to showcase the latest in A.I.-powered statistics for the NFL.
After developing an array of original concepts, the team at Wildlife landed on a mobile-web experience offering a blend of strategy and gameplay simulation to teach football and data fans about Pressure Probability - the newest Next Gen Stat. Available on all mobile devices and desktop browsers, ‘Playbook Pass Rush’ allows players to test their tactical insights as they discover new AI-powered stats from AWS. Fans can play either offense or defense, select their formations and design pass rush tactics, then watch simulated plays that result in a number of scoring metrics.
The NFL's commitment to embracing artificial intelligence and machine learning has led to this groundbreaking partnership between AWS and Wildlife, resulting in an interactive online experience that allows fans to delve deeper into the intricacies of the game. To aid in introducing the new NFL Pressure Probability statistic to the masses, Wildlife were tasked with creating an interactive concept to launch the stat in an entertaining way that would drive engagement and awareness of the work the AWS Next Gen Stats team is developing for broadcast
In addition, Wildlife will be launching an in-person experiential activation for AWS x NFL at the AWS re:Invent conference in November.
Scott Friedman, executive creative director, comments, “Playbook Pass Rush is a fun, challenging blend of strategy simulation and casual game that gives football fans a deeper understanding of the keys to a great NFL pass rush. We’re thrilled to help AWS highlight the role their AI/ML teams play in partnership with the NFL to develop entirely new stats that give football fans insight into their favorite teams every Sunday. This is a new kind of interactive experience for AWS and we’re proud to continue our collaboration with them in developing digital experiences to build awareness of the incredible work they do with the world’s biggest sports leagues.”
