We Are Social announces the promotion of Matt Walker to executive creative director, effective immediately.
Matt, who has spent the past two years leading culturally-driven campaigns for top brands like adidas, YouTube, EA Sports, Bose, and MLS, will now oversee the creative teams across We Are Social’s New York and Los Angeles offices. In his new role, he will be instrumental in redefining creative processes, enhancing the agency’s workplace culture, and driving the agency’s ‘Ideas Worth Talking About’ initiative.
Matt’s innovative work has earned the agency several accolades this year, including a Webby for their impactful activation celebrating Messi’s arrival to Miami, highlighting his influence on sport and culture. He also led the ground breaking, award-winning campaign that used proprietary technology to bring Pat Mahomes to the Sphere for the Super Bowl with adidas. This included two Shorty Award wins, contributing to We Are Social’s recognition as 2024 Mid-Sized Agency of the Year.
Reporting directly to CEO Rebecca Coleman, Walker is recognized for his commitment to marry culture with creativity and his ability to leverage new technologies to push industry boundaries. His leadership and imaginative spirit continue to inspire transformative work in the advertising industry.
“I’m excited to announce Matt’s well-deserved promotion. His exceptional creativity and leadership have made a significant impact in our success over the past two years. Matt’s contributions are invaluable, and I look forward to the innovative direction our agency will take under his influence.” said Rebecca Coleman, CEO.
