UN Women, J. Walter Thompson and WPP are giving a voice to the unheard stories of incredible women who are fighting for human and, specifically, women’s rights around the world through Unheard. This campaign will include the stories of several amazing women, brought to life for the first time across social platforms through more than $1.5M in pro bono media donations and a billboard takeover in Times Square. The stories can also be heard at
unheardwomen.org, and people are encouraged to share them through their social media.
“On International Women’s Day, UN Women is amplifying the unheard stories of incredible women who are fighting for gender equality around the world to create a brighter future for women and girls. The creative work by our partners at J. Walter Thompson, under the UN Common Ground initiative, highlight the unsung heroes and unheard voices of inspiring women,” said Tia Gordon, Chief of Communications and Advocacy.
“I’m incredibly proud of the Unheard Project and our continued partnership with UN Women. Through our creative and strategic work, I believe we can help to shift perceptions and amplify the voices of unheard women. We look forward to continuing our work in the inclusion and equality space,” said Sean DallasKidd, ECD, J. Walter Thompson.
