Soldats Welcomes Director Torben Kjelstrup

Renowned for his ability to create inspiring tales using common people in exceptional settings, Torben Kjelstrup reflects his passion for the art of cinema through his work. Thanks to his technical expertise, he manages to transform everyday scenes into exhilarating and joyful experiences, often through ambitious shoots that blend action sequences and special effects.

Torben has directed campaigns for international brands such as Samsung, Mercedes, LEGO, PlayStation, and Nespresso. He has directed music videos for artists such as Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) and has collaborated multiple times with the Colombian band Bomba Estereo. His work on the music video 'Soy Yo,' which he both wrote and directed, propelled him onto the international scene, earning him a nomination at Cannes Lions and for the Latin Grammy.

Originally from the Danish countryside, Torben began his career as an architect before moving to cinema. He brings his keen eye for aesthetics, design, and innovative use of space to his work behind the camera.
