Apple’s latest campaign for Mac invites students to study with Emmy-nominated Storm Reid (known for roles in The Last of Us, Euphoria and Missing) in a 90 minute, uninterrupted session. Storm is a University of Southern California junior, and uses the new MacBook Air 15” to study alongside the Pomodoro technique. This technique comprises of 25 minute study session followed by five minute breaks.
‘Study with Me Videos’ gained traction as students began to study at home during the pandemic. This crafted a unique online niche. The videos follow uninterrupted, unfiltered study sessions and offer a genuine study session experience. The 15” MacBook Air with M2 chip is ideal for Storm as she pursues a degree in dramatic arts with a minor in African American studies, all whilst balancing a busy acting schedule.
“I’m excited to share this new study with me video from Apple that we created as a tool for students to get work done,” said Storm. “As a Junior at the University of Southern California - go Trojans! - I spend a lot of time studying, and I’ve found it’s so important for me to balance work with music and movement. It was fun to collaborate with Apple to incorporate whimsy and my favourite music into each break. With midterms coming up, I hope my classmates and other students can watch this and find this method as helpful as I have.”
One of Storm’s favourite genres, Afrobeats, features in the video. A new song by Mr. Eazi, titled ‘Fefe Ne Fefe’ and ‘Party No Dey Stop’ by Adekunle Gold featuring Zionleesky.
