Senzo Ueno Directs Fungus-Infused Music Video for Young Juvenile Youth

Director Senzo Ueno recently directed this enchanting new music video for Young Juvenile Youth, produced by TOKYO. 

This spellbinding video was shot in an ancient forest where everything is as green as it is alive. Flora is fauna. To enter the forest is to become one with the trees, the rocks and the sky. Binding us all together is Myxogastria, a very real yet utterly surreal life form which can choose to live as an individual cell, or to team up with others to become a more complex life form. At once both an animal and a plant, the unique properties of Myxogastria were chronicled as illustrations by the famous biologist Kumagusu Minakata.

Senzo Ueno beautifully captures the forest’s sense of connection by blurring the line between still and moving images.
