Frisco brings over 25 years of experience to the global role, championing the democratisation of data to unite people, products and performance

Huge, a global experience company, today announced the appointment of Frisco Chau as global head of data & insights, effective immediately. Frisco will report directly to Lisa De Bonis, global chief experience officer at Huge. In this role, he will be responsible for scaling the company’s data capability across data science, analytics and research, developing new AI powered data products and driving greater integration of these capabilities across the business.

“When it came to hiring for our new head of data, it was important to look at the numbers,” said Mat Baxter, global chief executive officer of Huge. “Frisco has over a quarter century of industry experience in data-driven marketing transformation across the board and a proven track record of creating value for brands through innovative strategies. This experience also brings invaluable insights into attracting the right talent and trusted partners, and making most impactful use of a diversity of data sets. Fuelled by a mutual passion for results, together we will elevate the huge moves we have in store for 2022.”

Prior to joining the company, Frisco served as the chief data officer at M&C Saatchi Group and chief executive officer at Fluency M&C Saatchi, a new data consultancy created during his tenure, counting the United Nations and LVMH as clients. Frisco also oversaw an innovative audience segmentation and sizing strategy using psycholinguistics for Manchester United Football Club as well as AI-driven campaign and brand analytics for Amazon EMEA and APAC. Both clients were direct wins for Fluency and new for the Group.

Before M&C Saatchi Group, Frisco served as senior manager, data strategy lead at Accenture Interactive for Accenture Interactive UKI, where he led data strategy and garnered frontline experience leading numerous data-driven and digital marketing transformations for Maserati, GSK, Arla Foods and many other top companies.

"There's never been a better time to join Huge," commented Frisco. "A data ambition requires strong leadership and bold decision-making and this investment signals a clear mandate and strong intent. I'm inspired by the team's overarching purpose to move people and brands to do huge things in the world. I remain convinced that data fluency, working at the intersection of creativity, technology and business growth acceleration, holds the key to success."

“We’re embarking on our own journey of transformation,” said Lisa. “With a new leadership team at the helm, we want to accelerate how we drive more sustainable growth for our clients, our people and our business. To do that, we need a reimagined data & insight-driven strategic practice to fuel all of our crafts. Frisco is the perfect leader to drive this part of our transformation.”

Frisco’s hire is the latest appointment in a series of executive announcements bolstering Huge’s global Leadership team in the past year, including Mat Baxter as chief executive officer in July, Mark Manning as chief operating officer in November, Abdul Wahid Ovaice as global executive creative director in October, Lisa De Bonis as chief experience officer and Toni Howard Lowe as group vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion in September and Kali Beyah as global chief talent officer in March
