Google Australia and 72andSunny Sydney have launched a campaign to promote the new range of 5G Google phones and smart home products in Australia. The campaign showcases the different ways the Pixel 5, Pixel 4a (5G), Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max and Chromecast with Google TV can help Aussies at home and on the go.
Google believes that the most helpful tech is what you need it to be, so this campaign celebrates all the wonderful ways Aussies will use the new devices in their daily lives.
By renaming the products based on real life use cases, the campaign demonstrates how these devices could be truly helpful at home, or on the go. Instead of the Nest Hub Max with built in camera and Duo video calling, how about the Google Nan and Pop Teleporter? Or instead of the new Chromecast with Google TV, anyone fancy a Google Content Curator? Rather than the 5G Google Pixel with Night Sight in Portrait Mode, it’s the Google Night Time Picture Fixer Upper.
The Pixel campaign highlights Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G)’s all day battery, low light photography, superhero-level security chip, and fast streaming and downloading on 5G. And starting at $799, the 5G Google Pixels are also known as the Google Nice Price Surpriser.
The Nest campaign features the new Chromecast with Google TV – the new streaming device that lets you find and enjoy more of your favourite content across all your Entertainment apps. It also introduces the new Nest Audio – Google’s new smart speaker with crisp, clear vocals and powerful base, that’s built for room-filling sound. Finally the campaign celebrates the new Entertainment streaming partners, such as Netflix, on the Nest Hub Max Display (otherwise known as the Google Cooking Companion!) so you don’t have to miss a moment of your favourite shows if you’re on dinner duty.
The integrated campaigns will run across digital, TV, OOH, radio, print and social and include a tactical extension over the AFL Grand Final.
Julia Davis, head of devices and services marketing, Google Australia, said: “We are excited to partner with 72andSunny to showcase how our devices can help Aussies in their everyday life – from capturing the perfect portrait moment in low light with the new 5G Pixels to enjoying the entertainment they love in any room in the house on our speakers and displays.”
Head of strategy, 72andSunny Sydney, Ross Berthinussen, concluded: “We really enjoyed this project and collaborating with the Google team, PHD, Essence and other partners to build an understanding of the Google ecosystem of products.”
