Freefolk put their unrivalled post production skills to excellent use on the latest campaign for GoDaddy, directed by Pensacola at CANADA London for VCCP.
The humorous spot is the story of a small bike cafe business, Look Mum No Hands, and how their business grew as a result of a website set up with GoDaddy, told by actor and comedian Javone Prince.
VFX were required to show the growth of the café from the three founders at the beginning to a thriving place full of happy customers.
VCCP, executive creative director, Ross Neil was definitely pleased with the result and had this to say: “we're immensely proud of the new work for GoDaddy and that is in part down to all the hard work that the talented people at Freefolk have put into this spot. The transitions that help show the business grow have become so much part of the narrative that it almost wouldn't work without them. I once heard it said that the idea is king, but the king needs to look great. And Freefolk have dressed the king in the finest of finery."
Freefolk’s creative director, Jason Watts led the VFX team and commented: “collaborating with the director we were asked to devise an effect that could be shot very quickly to illustrate the growth of a business. We ended up shooting plates of people on location and created a visual growth of fx rippling through the cafe, it worked out pretty well I think!”
