Hollywood's most famous cars are the stars of Walmart's first national US campaign for its online Grocery Pickup service. Created by Publicis Groupe's dedicated Walmart agency W, the campaign launched during the Golden Globes.
According to a press release from Walmart, the brand worked with various Hollywood studios to gain access to cars such as the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine and Dumb and Dumber's Mutt Cutts Van. The vehicles used in the spot are replicas but, according to Walmart, having access to the studios meant they "looked just like what our customers knew from the films".
