Judges praised the post house's 24-hour-a-day 365-day-a-year approach

ENVY Post Production picked up the prize for Best Post Production House sponsored by Avid at last week's Broadcast Awards, held at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

This award is given to a post house that provides outstanding service, and there was broad agreement among the judges that ENVY had consistently delivered to an industry-leading standard.

The judges went on to praise ENVY’s 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year approach. One commented that no matter what time of day, there is always someone on hand to help. “It’s so customer-focused, and that’s how to run a successful facility,” the judge said.

ENVY Facility Director, Natascha Cadle comments: “Receiving the award for Best Post Production House is an incredible achievement for us.  There aren’t many awards around for Post Houses so it makes it extra special. In our 8 years (nearly 9) we have managed to win it 5 times but we never take it for granted. We couldn’t have done it without our brilliant staff and our loyal clients”.

The breadth of ENVY’s work across broadcast, promos and branding, corporate, commercials and VFX is illustrated by some of its credits over the past 12 months.

They include picture and audio post for light-entertainment shows such as BBC One’s The Voice and Channel 4’s Gogglebox – which requires a fast-turnaround edit – C4 doc The Paedophile Hunter, BBC One celebrity travel doc David Beckham Into The Unknown and CBeebies favourite Rastamouse.

ENVY pushed into a new area of broadcast this year, providing edit and VT support for the live transmission of the inaugural Invictus Games, as well as picture and audio post for a documentary about the athletics event.

This is the fifth year Envy has triumphed in the Best Post Production House category, having last picked up the award in 2013. It is now level with The Farm as the most successful post house in the Broadcast Awards’ 20-year history.

The Broadcast Awards was this year attended by more than 1,450 of the broadcast industry’s most influential names, the single largest celebration of programmes, channels and production companies and their achievements.
