Double Agent's Chris Ullen has directed the music video for Lee Ann Womack's latest track, 'Hollywood'.
The video follows two protagonists who embark on a cinematic road trip through California, all shot frame by frame in rarely seen before rear projection stop motion. The combination of real backgrounds shot on location mixed with hand-crafted miniature foregrounds creates an entirely unique film.
The doleful tune is accompanied by scenes of the plastic couple in a motel room, driving past iconic landscapes in L.A. and through the Californian desert. The song's perspective on the couple’s faltering relationship is more ambiguous than the video’s more definitive conclusion.
