DOLCE Composes Classical Track for IWC Schaffhausen's 'Spitfire'

Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen boasts an 80-plus year history of manufacturing pilot watches, and for their new collection, they pay homage to one of the most sophisticated aviation achievements of all time. The Spitfire Pilot’s Watch Collection 2019 is presented in conjunction with Steve Boultbee-Brooks and Matt Jones’ forthcoming round-the-world, record-breaking flight.   

Director Bugsy Steel’s beautifully shot campaign film captures the meticulous military engineering that takes place in the construction of both the aircraft and the timepieces, culminating in a dramatic lift-off.

DOLCE composed a contemporary classical score for this director’s cut, recording a live string quartet which was then fused with electronic elements to punctuate the elegant craftsmanship shown on-screen.
