Day One Agency (creative communications shop with the ambition of stopping the world in its scroll with stories that earn a place in culture) is launching its new, limited-edition print zine today to coincide with the newly re-designed site Perspective. Titled Unplugged, the zine is a very different kind of screen time – where you’ll find stories designed to evoke the random delight of your Explore page (from memes to mantras) plus deeper meditations on some of our most chronically online impulses.
Why Day One Agency started Unplugged:
As an agency that creates award-winning social content that - in some cases - disappears after 24 hours, it was important for the team to represent the fleeting experience of social, but in a way that could make it last forever through this zine, which is why Day One Agency also believe in a well-balanced content diet – as much as it finds inspiration online, the team uncover fresh ideas by daydreaming on a long walk, discovering a new visual artist, or blissing out on the latest album drop or magazine release.
The insights and content we share are from the unique perspective of our gen z Day One-ers (who make up about a third of our workforce btw!) and inspire our creative thinking. We want to share D1A insights with the larger creative community so others can get to know Gen Z the way we do (and hopefully it can help to inspire the next big idea) or at least pause to learn something new.
