Bjorn Amend Jazzes Up Yaris

Packed with energy and style, this gorgeous spot for Yaris’ Hybrid captures our excitement around this latest release for automobile goliaths Toyota. 

Shot by JSA’s talented director Björn Amend over 5 nights in Johannesburg, the spot features original Sapeurs along with neon covered racing cars, a 40 piece electrified marching band, a hand built “Dekotora” Truck plus a few glowing jackets thrown in. 

Having built a trusted relationship with Toyota over many years there was unusually no agency involvement. Björn wrote, styled, directed and supervised the post production right up to final approval!

To quote him: “It felt a bit like the pipe dream of a 16 year old comic fan, but don’t quote me on this.”
