BBDO Atlanta is in month five of working from home, and despite all the virtual meetings and phone calls, the team agree that it's tough to make up for lack of human contact. To show appreciation for their employees (from a distance), BBDO Atlanta’s senior leadership team drove more than 400 miles in and around the city and suburbs of Atlanta to deliver a special message to each BBDOer.
“Usually each summer, we have some sort of small get together to say thank you to employees, but this year that wasn’t going to happen. So, instead, we took the party on the road.” said Robin Fitzgerald, chief creative officer, BBDO Atlanta.
The agency posted a quick compilation video of the effort on their social channels to help share out some of the real life comradery.
Every employee was greeted at the door with a goodie bag full of locally made 'Old Fourth Distillery' hand sanitiser, a DoorDash or Uber Eats gift card, cookies from a local bakery and a custom yard sign to show the whole neighbourhood that 'BBDOATL really loves someone that lives here'.
And for those working from somewhere out of state, treats were delivered in the mail so that everyone could feel appreciated from all across the country.
