Bark Soho and Eclectic Welcome Sound Designer Markus Ffitch
Boutique sound design studio Bark Soho and music company Eclectic have expanded their team with the addition of award-winning sound designer, Markus Ffitch.
With a palpable passion for sound craft and a love for working collaboratively, the London-based sound designer began his career at Unit and went onto become a creative sound designer at Grand Central Recording Studios. A musician at heart, Markus joins the team at Bark Soho and Eclectic with a fascination for blurring the lines between composition and sound design. His style of using experimental music and unusual instruments has awarded him work on short films and campaigns for leading agencies and brands alike, including McLaren, Gorillas and Sony.
A highlight in his career, Markus’s work for domestic violence charity Refuge and BBH saw him scoop Gold for Best Sound Design And a Bronze Clio in 2022. Marking 50 years of the charity's life saving work, the emotive spot highlights the insidious ways technology is being used by abusers to monitor and control their partners. Working closely with the creative team from BBH, Markus was given the freedom to really amplify their already strong concept by creating an impactful soundscape through his original composition and supplying the VO for the poignant spot.
