Tom Barbor Might, the new film for Barclays Digital Eagles highlights its initiative that aims to equip older people with the relevant skills they may need to communicate in an ever more technological world.
For the millions of people in lockdown - many of whom are elderly - utilising zoom and other social platforms has been their only opportunity for access to the world outside.
Filmed during the match between Aston Villa and Sheffield United, the Barclays team linked up a longtime Villa fan Tim with three of his his best football-going mates and surprise guest Dion Dublin, Aston Villa legend, for a live video feed together.
Shot on a socially distanced location, Tom, who has just spent the last year working with Apple+ on an original documentary series, re entered the world of advertising in this very different climate. Tom was particularly keen to get involved in this project due to the light it sheds on loneliness for elderly people and also the joy of the simple pleasures we have previously taken for granted, once more being a part of our lives.
