MJZ’s Nick Ball directed “Evelyn”, a funny, futuristic-style ad from Droga5 for Sprint, which aired during the Super Bowl LII.

 

The spot introduced the audience to a technologically advanced AI robot called Evelyn and is set in a high-tech laboratory experiment. It shows her making smart, rational decisions and questioning her human creator's choice of wireless carrier, so Evelyn and the other robots poke fun at the lab doctor for not choosing Sprint as their service provider.

 

Evelyn needed to appear life-like, so eye blinks and realistic human expressions were added to her face through VFX.

 

The spot kick-started an entire campaign following the antics of Evelyn and her robot friends as they continue to ridicule their creator.
