Finland consumes the most energy per capita in Europe. At the same time, climate change is real and energy companies play a huge role in it. But because Northern countries have very few sunny days the Finns don’t trust solar panels, and instead use mostly coal, peat and other fossil fuels. Väre the new, more environmentally friendly energy company wanted to emphasize the power of solar panels and arranged a concert solely powered by sun and people. We had solar panels and 20 energy-generating bicycles producing power to the stage. Anyone in the audience could can jump into the saddle to help generate power. Our concert reached 40 % of the target group with earned media and increased 25 % interest towards solar panels.
