The objective for this digital campaign was to create brand awareness for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines amongst Canadian millennials, in addition to promoting the international destinations the airline flies to from Canada.

The campaign was fuelled by Millennial values, recognizing their emphasis on genuine experiences and personalization. They also happen to be one of the fastest growing categories in the travel industry. So, we wanted to encourage real millennials to submit real stories about how they are making connections to people and places around the world.

The big idea? To create a video that focuses on the real story of a young woman as she flies from Toronto to Mumbai to surprise her 81-year-old grandfather. Yulenka was born in Mumbai and moved to Canada when she was very young, but today as an adult, she wants to reconnect with her roots and learn everything she can before it’s too late. Because nothing is more important than family.
